So, What is Fire Rating from Fire Extinguisher ?
Fire Rating is the ability of extinguishers to extinguish fires which are coded with letters and numbers, for example 2A 10B, 3A 15B, 4A 20B etc. Letters indicate the class of fire & Numbers indicate the size of the fire that can be extinguished.
How to determine the Fire Rating
The determination of the Fire Rating must be based on the results of the Fire Brigade lab test which is adjusted to the fire class, namely A, B, C & D. While the number indicates the size of the fire at the time of testing, the greater the number shown, the greater the fire or fire that can be extinguished by the extinguisher.
Why we should know about Fire Rating ?
